The chairman of Brookhaven’s Board of Zoning Appeals says he plans to run for an open seat on City Council.
Tim Nama announced Aug. 5 that he intends to run for the District 2 council seat vacated earlier this year by the resignation of former Councilman Jim Eyre.
“As a city, we are still young,” Nama said in a press release. “We have a lot of potential, but
there are many challenges as well.”
Candidates may file Aug. 19-21 to run for the seat in the Nov. 4 special election.

I’ve known the Nama family for over thirty years: Charles, Mary Ann, Tim, etc. I taught Tim in Sunday school as a child, have observed him as an adult in the Brookhaven Zoning Board of Appeals. He’s got my support.–Tom Reilly
