Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed kicked off of his re-election campaign today.
By most accounts, Reed has enjoyed a very successful first term as Atlanta’s 59th mayor. Overall crime in the city is down and Atlanta’s budget is balanced. To date, one of Reed’s top accomplishments is the securing a new stadium for the Atlanta Falcons.
Reed has also had his critics. In particular, many street vendors are very unhappy with his administration thanks to new policies.
