With Google exploring ultra-high speed Internet service in several metro areas including Atlanta, AT&T is making a countermove, according to a report in the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The wireless carrier said it is considering providing high speed Internet in 21 new major metropolitan areas, including Atlanta.
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed announced today the national search for the next general manager of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has been narrowed to three finalists: Deborah Ale Flint, Director of Aviation, Oakland International Airport; Miguel A. Southwell, Interim General Manager, City of Atlanta Department of Aviation; and Paul J. Wiedefeld, Executive Director, Maryland Aviation Administration. Mayor Reed will conduct a second interview and make a selection from these three names within 14 days.
