The City of Atlanta will hold a Code Enforcement Summit on Aug. 16 at 9 a.m. at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, 395 Piedmont Ave. The summit will explain the procedure involved in restoring distressed properties and the importance of community involvement in reporting these issues. Questions and concerns about existing code or zoning violations will also be addressed.

“We are very concerned about blight in our communities,” said Councilmember Felicia Moore. “Several city departments are working together to get a handle on dilapidated properties and to improve quality of life for Atlanta residents. This summit will provide everything you need to know.”

Agencies and departments that will be in attendance include Housing/Commercial Code Enforcement, Solicitor’s Office, Building/Zoning Code Enforcement, Municipal Courts, Public Works S.W.E.E.T. Team, Scrap Tire Carrier Enforcement, Fire Inspectors  and the Code Enforcement Commission
